About
Psychotherapist
(she/her)
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years teaching dance professionally to people of all ages and abilities. This work shaped my deep appreciation for spaces where people feel safe to express all parts of themselves. It also instilled in me a passion for how people externalize feelings and experiences that are hard to put into words. This led me to pursue a degree in mental health counseling and deepen my ability to accompany people not only through movement, but also through presence and conversation.
I enjoy incorporating somatic awareness, breathing exercises, attachment theory and IFS into my sessions when appropriate. Clients describe me as emotionally attuned, energizing and compassionate. I am always pleased to see how a blend of therapy approaches encourages movement toward healing, change, and growth in the lives of those who come to see me.
I enjoy working with clients who take an active role in their self-reflection. I feel well matched to work with women, queer people, creative types and those who are unpacking religious and patriarchal structures. I find deep meaning in working with clients experiencing social isolation and exploring identity within their relationships. Lastly, through a feminist and multicultural lens, I am interested in exploring identity, power, relationships, and how larger systems shape experiences for all of us.
If I sound like a good fit, I would be honored to hear from you and discuss working together. Please check out my website below for more information about my approach!
